South of the Bully Rescue is a 100% volunteer run, foster-based organization
that facilitates the rescue and placement
of homeless dogs identified as pit bulls.
Through public donations,
South of the Bully Rescue provides
all necessary veterinary care, including
spay or neuter and any basic needs.
Our mission is to promote ethical rescue practices, responsible ownership, financial transparency and to act as an intermediary to individuals or groups looking for support for pit bulls. Our vision is to strengthen and preserve the public image of pit bull type dogs through education and awareness.
SOTB does not receive any government funding, nor do we
have a paid professional fund raiser or paid administrative staff.
Our organization consists solely of volunteers.
Our support comes directly from you and it goes directly to the dogs.
We are extremely grateful to the many people who share our love of
this breed, support us in our efforts to help needy Pit Bulls, and
donate their time, money and love to save these wonderful dogs.
Visit our resource page to find adoption, foster, and volunteer applications as well as behavior resources and information for new adopters. South of the Bully has a village of support available to every adopter, foster, and volunteer!
We would love to have you on as a Volunteer, as there are a number of ways
to help out. Our volunteers help with events, assist with our boarding dogs
and maintain our online presence.
South of the Bully has events most weekends in the Charlotte and Raleigh area. Check our event page to see when we'll have an event near you!
